Ceredigion offers something for all walking enthusiasts, from spectacular coastal walks along the Ceredigion Coastal Path affording glimpses of dolphins, seals, porpoise and marine birds. Walks offer views of the lush green river valleys of the Teifi, Aeron, Ystwyth and Rheidol and the heathered uplands and forests of the Cambrian Mountains where red kites and buzzards can be often spotted. The area offers a variety of walking opportunities as a walkers destination Ceredigion is hard to better.
The Llanrhystud Heritage Trail offers a gentle introduction to the local areas interesting history and culture.
For those who like to mix culture with walking, the Dylan Thomas' Ceredigion Trail can be walked end to end in three and a half days. For the less energetic, the trail is broken down into a series of shorter walks, some of which can easily be walked in an afternoon. As the climate in Ceredigion is mild, the trail can be walked all year round. Parts of the trail can also be driven.
